Using the Database in Computer Networks
If more than one of your employees needs access to the regulatory documents
of Kazakhstan, you can install and use the Database in multi-user mode in your
computer network. The software does not require any special settings. The only
requirement is that you must have a copy of the User Software installed on each
user’s workstation. The User Software is provided free of charge to subscribers
to the Regulatory Information Services.
Wired Local Area Network (LAN)
Depending on the configuration of your computer network, the Database can be
installed on either a central file server (in client-server networks), or on one
of the workstations (in peer-to-peer networks) that functions as a file server.
If there are a lot of users in the network, or if the network has low
capacity or heavy traffic, we recommend that you use distributed installation of
the Database. Distributed installation requires installation of additional
copies of the Database on various file servers and distribution of the users
into groups, with each group connected to the Database dedicated for it. The
number of installations of the Database should not exceed the number of users
covered by the Database End-User Licenses you purchased.
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
When you subscribe to the Regulatory Information Services using the Database
of Industry Standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan in wireless networks, the
subscription includes the hardware needed to set up a wireless LAN. The wireless
network adapters are provided FREE with each Database End-User License.
Consulting services for installation and setup of wireless equipment are
provided free.

Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN)
Using a wireless wide area network, you can efficiently deliver the
regulatory information contained in the Database of Industry Standards of the
Republic of Kazakhstan to remote sites far from your central office: oil and gas
fields, offshore platforms, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, hydraulic
structures, harbor structures, mines, construction sites, and company offices in
other cities and regions.
In a wide area network, the Database can be centrally installed on a server
in the wired segment of the network, while the User Software is installed on
computers at the remote sites. The users’ computers are connected to the wired
network by wireless networking. Long-range wireless bridges are used for
communications between remote sites.
We offer a set of top-quality, reliable equipment for fixed wireless networks
with an operational range from a few hundred meters to 50 km (30 miles). Our
specialists will analyze your needs and specific situation, suggest the optimum
configuration, and select the wireless networking equipment best for you.
